Ginger Rosemary Lemonade – Tipsy Tea Time

Welcome back to Tipsy Tea Time here at Moody Teas! Today, we’re featuring a delicious and refreshing Ginger Rosemary Lemonade cocktail that’s perfect for summer – or those of us dreaming about the warm weather. It may be winter, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a cold glass of sweet, refreshing lemonade. Sip this adult version while you make your fabulous plans for the warm weather ahead – this cocktail will have you picturing yourself on vacation somewhere warm.

Featuring honey, ginger, and Rosemary Lemonade, this will quench your thirst with that perfect mix of sweet and tart. Plus, these ingredients have plenty of added health benefits! Ginger is great for boosting your immune system, especially combined with the punch of vitamin C from the lemon. Plus, the bright flavors are perfect for boosting your mood.

In this recipe, we’ll make a delicious simple syrup with honey, ginger, and rosemary lemonade. Simple syrups are a great way of infusing with tea. The fun part about infused syrups is that they’re not just for cocktails. Add to juice, sparkling water, or even non-alcoholic spirits for a mocktail! For instance, you can make an awesome mocktail with the recipe below, just substitute the vodka for a non-alcoholic vodka or your favorite sparkling water!

Ginger Rosemary Lemonade

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp Rosemary Lemonade
  • 1 piece fresh ginger (sliced into thin coins, no need to peel)
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 5 lemons)
  • 1 1/2 cups vodka
  • Sprigs fresh rosemary (for garnish)
  1. In a medium saucepan bring the honey and water to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to low, add the ginger and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and add the Rosemary Lemonade. Let the syrup steep for about 20 minutes.
  4. Strain the mixture into a bowl and discard the tea and ginger.
  5. Place the mixture in the refrigerator to chill.
  6. Fill a large pitcher half full with ice and pour in the vodka, Rosemary Lemonade syrup, and lemon juice. Give it a good stir and serve.
